Lubes, Creams, and Other Fun Things!
I’ve talked about some fun toys and things, now let’s add some lubes, creams, and other stuff to the mix. If you haven’t used lube during sex, let me tell you, you’ve been missing out! There are some pretty cool ones out there that add to the sensations of sex. Of course natural moisture (what is it with people not liking that word…) is all fine and well, but a silky feeling lubricant that helps things slip in and out with less resistance? Yes, please, and thank you!
Lubes
I’ve tried a few lubes that just feel icky. There’s just no other way to describe them. They’re kind of jelly-like, and sticky as can be. I know some of you have tried them…it’s just gross. If I’m going to end up sticky, I don’t want it to be because of my lube! One of my favorite lubes is uberlube. You can generally find it at any sex store, and online as well. If you’re imagining a nice hard, yet smooth ride, this is the stuff to get! This stuff lubricates well whether you’re going solo with your favorite toy, or with your partner.
I love this one because it’s silicone based so it’s very silky feeling, and it doesn’t feel gross after the grand finale! There’s no weird smell or taste to it, so it doesn’t get in the way of some oral fun. Honestly, a little goes a long way. I’ve gotten the small vials of it that lasted for a lot longer than I expected.
KY makes a water based lube that is pretty good too, I just really prefer the feeling of the silicone lube. It seems to last longer, I don’t have to add more to make it work for the duration. Some sex toys (such as the Zeus) do require water-based lube, so that’s a good alternative!
Creams
There are some pretty interesting creams out there too! Some claim to make you tighter, others add a tingle or warming sensation. I’ve seen some that are supposed to taste good for those that need it to enjoy oral sex. My absolute favorite is the Pure Romance GPS. Apparently, some guys can’t seem to find the bullseye, but this claimed to make it easier. I admit to thinking this was pretty funny…pretty sure mine found it before I had a clue how to even look. Yep, I’m so innocent. Well, okay, maybe not. But at one time I was!
You can read my full review of GPS here. A tiny bit of this stuff rubbed in the right spot, and I was quite literally throbbing after both solo play and sex with my husband. It works really well with toys that are designed for g-spot stimulation, but if you’re not into that, it worked equally well using it during sex. I haven’t ever noticed a huge amount of sensation in my G-spot, unless it’s directly stimulated. The pulsing I could feel using the GPS lasted quite a while after though!

Oils
Zestra is a good example of an oil product that is supposed to tingle and enhance sensations during sex. I got a sample packet at the local sex store, just to see if it was worth the cost. I can’t say I noticed much of a tingle, but in my case that’s not a bad thing. The texture was a little odd for me, but I did enjoy using it, and it seemed to last for a decent amount of time. I’m sure there are quite a few others, but that’s really the only oil I’ve tried.
So Many Options!
There are so many other options! Too many to list, really, but try something new, and see if you like it! I’m not typically a fan of the ones that are “cool” or tingle. Being a little on the sensitive side, it always seems to be just a little too much. The GPS cream does have spearmint, but it’s not overwhelming. There are a variety of choices though, seemingly limited only to imagination. Flavored lubes and oils can be fun to experiment with, especially if you are a big fan of oral sex. Sometimes, just that little extra sensation or enhancement to sensations being outside of the norm for you can be fun and exciting.
